The Mendocino Film Festival, May 29 - June 1, offers a a springtime banquet for movie lovers. Film screenings and special events are held within easy and lovely walks in the historic village of Mendocino. In addition to a wealth of narrative features, shorts, documentaries, and animation, the Mendocino Film Festival also showcases films in two unique categories: Films for Our Future and Films on the Arts.
Mendocino Opera Fresca is an integral part of the Mendocino arts community. Its expanding repertoire and cadre of exceptional musicians extends well beyond the Coast. Its Emerging Artists Program has introduced a number of very talented young performers to Coast audiences. As it enters its 12th Season it is robustly fulfilling its mission to make opera accessible to a wide audience, and at a high level of artistry and performance through such programs as the Opera Access Educational Outreach Program for Mendocino and Sonoma County Schools.
The Mendocino Art Center is a highly regarded artistic and educational institution, known for superlative retreat-style workshops, high quality art exhibits, garden tours and craft fairs, as well as numerous musical concerts.
On the second Saturday each August, Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens hosts its Annual Art in the Gardens fundraiser – the best garden party on the coast! Imagine a beautiful summer’s day with over 60 local artists, more than a dozen of the finest Mendocino County wineries, and local musicians all coming together to create a dynamic event — right in the heart of the Botanical Gardens.
Gloriana Musical Theatre celebrates 31 years of outstanding musical theatre with “Fun Through Excellence.” Gloriana's community activities include a Kids Musical Theatre Workshop held twice a year, a springtime musical show performed by kids ages 5 to 13, and the holiday serenading of the Gloriana Carolers in vintage dress. The Carolers have raised more than $25,000 in scholarship funds for high school students continuing their education in theatre arts.

The Annual Mendocino Art Auction is now in its 37th year, and the Rotary Club of Mendocino auctions off the works of nationally recognized Mendocino Coast artists in support of local youth and community organizations. Each year’s auction features over 60 works of art and includes fine art, sculpture and photography. “Art Can Make a Difference.”
July 12-26, the Mendocino Music Festival presents classical orchestra - conductor, Allan Pollack, jazz, Argentine tango by QuinTango and dancers, gypsy swing with Hot Club of San Francisco, big band night, bluegrass R&B, The Marriage of Figaro opera, Company C Contemporary Ballet, hot world music with Los Pinguos, chamber music, and “Degenerate Music.” Singer/songwriter Jesse Winchester and pianist Stephen Prutsman's Bach and Forth - in the big, white tent on Mendocino Headlands State Park.
